On ABC News now, three US soldiers are being interviewed by the Palestine hotel. According to them, when they just drove into town they were on a mission to save "Press-hostages" taken in the hotel. Mind you this is after they toppled the statue. While driving into town they were getting reports stating that the situation was escalating- one guy was a sniper, put a reporter using a laptop on the roof in his scope and was ready to take the guy out.
This shows you just how dangerous a war zone can be, and really convinces me that the 3 attacks on reporters were a mistake or a miscommunication. Pretty interesting.
