I cut back on my collection when I moved. Down to around 20 orchids now, but will be adding to them.

Get some lenses for that A40 and you can get some serious macro action (that's what I did).
Here's yet another picture of my eye, so if you've seen it, don't bother clicking.
Look it's my frickin huge eye taken with an A40
All the A series cameras do. Add-on lenses.Originally posted by: Specop 007

Nice! Do you germinate and grow from seed, or just buy?

Everything is bought, and I have propagated everything but the Phalanopsis and Phrags and Paphs by division. I had some seeds from a Psychopsis (or Oncidium) if you prefer (I hate orchid taxonomy) AKA Butterfly Orchid. Never did anything with it. The Zygo I posted a pic of is becoming rare, and as I have the facilities and knowlege I may do a meristematic cloning. It's a PIA though so I may and I may not
I see you have a Brassia Datacosa. One of my faves. The flower seems to have a strong citrus scent.

My wife germinated our Phalanopsis, all 8 of them.
We didnt know the blooms die shortly after being germinated. Needless to say it was a bit of a shock!
