From our friends at Gottadeal, it looks like we have sale flyers from Dollar General, Ace Hardware, Rite Aid, and a few others...

I'm morbidly curious about that $32 7" Android tablet that Dollar General has. It's Google Play certified, so it can't be THAT bad. Hell... it might even be a better deal than the new $50 Kindle Fire.

Oh, and a $1 Android smartphone without a contract. Amazing. Buy that sucker as an MP3 player for your kids or something!

Certified tablet can still be really really awful. I got a freebie from work couple years back as door prize for some event, it literally wouldn't run half the games I loaded onto it. And I think that one retailed at Walmart for like $70 at the time.

I think that a big determiner of what can run on those tablets, comes down to the amount of RAM on them.

I bought some tablets from BestBuy, they were quad-core MediaTek SoCs, that even supported H.265 decoding, but they were hobbled with only 512MB of RAM, so they couldn't even run Skype in the background, while web browsing with Firefox.

I also picked up an iView tablet from Newegg, with an Intel dual-core CPU, with 2GB of RAM, and it runs them just fine.

Nice price on that one, I wonder if it's any good? I need a good bang for the buck tablet since my Fire HD6 was stolen. Honestly I did not care for it much so I look forward to getting something better.

NEVER let your kids play with any phone unless they are mature enough to not dial 911 as all phones whether they have a sim card in them or not will be able to call that number. ;)

I'm going out on a limb and guessing it's about $35 good.

That would be my guess as well. Oh well, I guess I need to raise my standards a bit given that Black Friday is just around the corner.;)....and after a quick look around, something like a Samsung Galaxy with the 2048 x 1536 display might be nice.:)

I hear you there, just tell your kids that Santa Claus is informed of every single 911 call made for the entire year to help him put together a more complete "bad!" list.
