Would make sense to me?
Pearl Harbor is too obvious of an answer, it must be some kind of trivia factoid like "killed in Germany while on a trip" or something.
Probably on a transport of goods to the Allies, which was sunk by German U-boats
Pearl Harbor was not WWII. It was what caused us to declare war.
Some island in the Pacific?
Volounteer pilot flying for the RAF maybe?
It was a military attaché
ooo, you got something there
That would be my guess as well. There were American pilots that were secretly flying with the RAF.
I think most people would consider Pearl Harbor to be WW2.
...in the British channel.
Yes, most do, but it really was not part of WWII.
Concerning Brutuskend's question, knowing him it is going to be "Man dies on toilet after reading paper stating we were in WWII" or something really off like that.
On the crapper!
Cancun, Mexico in the infamous Battle of the Mariachi's.
So it wasn't a world war until the USA joined it?
Maybe a member of the American Volunteer Group in China..?
WHAT'S THE ANSWER?
Don't Syringer us!
/me waits eagerly behind the drum kit to give the inevitable rimshot after Brutuskend's "answer"...
My guess would be with Chenault's Flying Tigers. Unless we had Military Attaches in Poland.
I interpreted his question (which I suspect most people did as well) to mean the first US soldier to be killed during WWII. Therefore, Pearl Harbor being a site where the war was happening or not would be a moot point.
