It's $239 a day 🙁....and it's a freakin' slush box too! It's probably on par with my GT with the few bolt-on mods I've done already...plus I have the 3.55's in the rear and manual tranny.

What's the price on these things? I have a 2006 GT and I'm wondering if it's cheaper to install the supercharger and other upgrades yourself.

It's quoted as $43K MSRP, but I'm hearing anywhere from $10k to $20k dealer markups!
You could get a Saleen supercharger for about $4.5k and pay $600 to have it installed...so I've heard.

Even at $43K, that's about $15k I'd have to spend on parts. Definitely cheaper to do it myself. Supercharger, CAI, pipes, etc. would probably be a max of $7K.

I did read an article where they tested it up against the new Vette (a stock Vette at that too boot) and the Vette spanked it.

I did read an article where they tested it up against the new Vette (a stock Vette at that too boot) and the Vette spanked it.

Yeah, their driver sucked donkey-balls..a freakin 12.9 run, wtf?!?. On that same track test day, another mag's driver got a 12.25 @ 117 mph, 4.3s 0-60 run out of the GT500.

It is, and with 500hp its still slower then a regular vette(not the z06) sad.
