The First Pic of the iMac2? (don't get your hopes up though)

A Brit at a gaming forum I frequent (Nash at Gaming-Age.com) saw this advert in his local newspaper and scanned it.

Well, what do you guys think? Doesn't that seem like a slot loading CD/DVD drive on the right side of the monitor? No existing Apple machine has that as far as I know. Its either the new generation of iMac, or its just a piece of plastic designed to look like a computer for a newspaper ad.

And please don't slam me if this is bogus, I'm just giving you guys the info...

sir..that is an apple lcd monitor...and no does not have a cdrom at the right side...

That looks like an Apple Studio display + Apple keyboard to me.

Apple LCD's have a three pronged stand, and don't have all those controls on the bottom.

It seems to me that the LCD is like the first one Apple made. The current studio display is not the same design.

Although I'm still not sure why there's that indent on that right side. Why was it there originally?


EDIT: Ermm, I guess that "slot" is just glare.

Well, from what I hear the next-gen iPAQ's will come with LCD displays. They are converting their whole lineup to LCD.
