Even if you don't watch the West Wing, you could at least read the article.
The California Highway Patrol said Tuesday that the West Wing first lady was driving drunk around 10 p.m. on Dec. 14 after trying to negotiate around stalled traffic by pulling her 2003 Porsche Boxster onto the shoulder and passing the stopped cars.

How do you know?

man i go to jail over a hundred dollar ticket...they'd bust my ass for drunk driving...

It's easier to read if you try to form complete sentences.

Are you saying that you've gone to jail over a $100 ticket? What does that have to do with anything?

What I want to know is why do you think you'd still be in jail and she isn't?

I suspect in your state that your ticket was an infraction. Your problem sounds like you took the court date on your ticket as a "suggestion", failed to appear, and a writ of attachment (warrant) was issued to provide you failsafe transportion to Court. Whoops.

this thread just didn't work out.... sorry.....
anyways, Stockard Channing always seems like she is liquored up so this isn't surprising.
