The first half if the big lebowski

I won't call this movie overrated. It has a following. This flick just doesn't resonate with me. I've tried to like it but always end up, meh...if I don't fall asleep before it ends.

You're missing something BIG. It's right under your nose, but you're missing it. The critics at Sundance missed it the first time through too.
 
It is THE Gen X movie. It nails it all- the slacking, the banality, the perspective of older generations and third wave feminist women.

Certain movies speak to generations. I don't really "get" say Easy Rider but I am not going to diss it. That is the movie for a different generation.
 
It's difficult for the first-timer to see it now. You've heard the quotes again and again and probably know the basic story.
 
Great film. Great cinematography. Great acting. Great writing.

It's both incredibly real and surreal at the same time.
