don't expect to be able to play it...
Did anyone play the original Crysis online at all? Did it ever have decent player counts?
If they're smart they'll design it so that it can scale down for older computers and most importantly, better online multiplayer FPS performance. (Hint to studios--it's about the quality of the game play, not the eye candy.)
Multiplayer and 10fps should be fun.
Awesome. I will likely be upgrading my system so I can play on medium settings

Don't forget Crysis 2 is dumbed way down I.Q. wise in order to run on consoles and their outdated hardware.
That's not true.
Can someone inbed a couple of the pics in this thread? I can't view any sort of gaming sites from work, but would like to check these out.

Crysis 2 on consoles looks worse than Crysis 1 on PC's...no denying that.
For some reason, I don't find the picture in the OP as impressive as these, posted at inCrysis.com.
True, but what you said isn't true.
The game, it's core code, is not dumbed down.
The engine strips the code down for the consoles.
"native" Crysis 2 will look better than Crysis 1 on PC. Have you seen any of the high res screen shots? Crysis 2 has much better lighting, and illumination than Crysis 1 has.
Also, the AI will be much better in Crysis 2 than Crysis 1.
Don't compare Crysis 2 on Consoles to Crysis 1 on PC as apples to apples. The only reason they aren't showing PC screen shots is so they don't spoil it for the console market.
I played it, and I thought it was great. At release, you could usually find around 6 fully populated 32 man servers. Not amazing, but enough. I think rampant cheating and a lack of adequate spawn killing protection did more to kill the community than performance requirements. While camping the enemy base with helicopters and nuke tanks was fun, I'm sure it scared first timers away from multiplayer.
You forget the fact that Crysis 1 had BIG maps, with large viewdistances...Crysis 2 will be narrow corridors in cities...because the crapboxes can't handle large maps...ergo dumbed down.
I think that the multiplayer in crysis would have been much better if it not everyone got the super suit. That's what made the MP so stupid for me. Now a game mode where everyone is normal, and 1 person is in the super suit kinda like a last man standing type thing would be amazing. But when everyone gets the nanosuit it just cheapens it and makes it boring.
