The Fireworks are Scaring My Dog

All the booms and bams are driving my dog crazy. He's currently under my desk (where he never goes, always lays on the bed) with a scared look on his face. I've gotten him to go on the bed, but once he hears another boom, he bolts under the desk again. 🙁

Poor doggy 🙁

While I was sitting in the can earlier tonight, I was thinking to post this very topic. I heard dogs barking above the noises the fireworks and my @$$ were making.

He's a dog which can be frightened very easily. He's very playful though.

Our other dog it outside though. I don't know what he's doing though, he's just walking around in the yard.

Hey I just forgot the 😛 and coreect sentence structure.....my 90 pound German Shepherd is a pussy too.

my old dog used to get scared at fireworks...he'd actually curl up on your lap really tightly when we set them off...he wasn't a lap dog either.

My dog is wandering aimlessly around my computer chair as I type trying to figure out where a safer place to be is. She hasn't found it yet....

Now she's pacing on the other side of the room......

Now she's back by my chair.....

Ok, she laid down for now.....

This pattern will continue until the fireworks cease. Poor girl is 13 years old. I can't believe she can still even hear the fireworks. She is a Samoyed if anyone is wondering.

Oh, now she's pacing again.....

We had to keep ours inside when we were setting them off because he kept running up to them while they were still going off.

We had three dogs around during the fireworks. Our dog was OK, she's a fireworks vet, but the whistling ones she hated. My mother-in-law's dog barked at the big ones, but was fine for the most part. My parent's dog is only 9 months old, so he has never experienced fireworks before. He was very scared, and shaking like crazy. We finally put him in the house and he hid in his bed.
