The film 'Conclave'

ie. this film:

"When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading one of the world's most secretive and ancient events, selecting a new Pope, he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church."

Am I the only one with this kind of expression on my face when reading this?:

Is there really a conspiracy that would shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church?

I saw it when I was in LA. Actually a good film. Its basically like a HS student body president election meets office politics presided by an exhausted middle manager who just wants to retire but is told no. The cardinals are grasping, backstabbing, paranoid, gossipy, power hungry, immoral, criming, and (in some cases) vaping their way through the ordeal.

Ralph Fiennes perfected both the internal and external sigh of a man who is about ready to pray for the sweet deliverance of death to get him the hell out of there.
