Starting just west of Rochester through the Adirondacks (through which I have never been), then central/northern VT and NH and stay at Franconia St. Park in NH. On through ME and the logging roads to Baxter St. Park.

If time allows, Acadia Natl PK will be our last stop.

It's pic time! I expect the car will be riding low with the weight of camera stuff :D

So, what's a "must see"?

Seriously though I've heard the fall foliage in that part of the US is incredible. Take lots of pics:D

So when's the big trip? Fall is a little while away yet, isn't it?

Not too far away to make reservations. Places to stay fill up fast, so the itinerary needs to be determined now. I was hoping someone here knew something I did not, but it isn't looking promising :p

Oh, and Pliablemoose, I'm taking lots of CDs to burn and the lappy. Thank goodness I'm not paying for film processing :Q

Ah, yeah, I can see that. I've only been up that way in July before, but I loved the scenery. Sorry I don't remember much that I learned from that trip--other than don't drive an already breaking-down van around the Beltway in D.C. (oh, and that the governor of West Virginia looks like a grocery store manager). I suppose I ran out of things to learn by the time I made it up to Vermont.

Well, why don't you show us just how much better you are :p

We are completely different types of photographers. I couldn't do what he does in a million years. ;)
