I have no problems believing that journalists at CNN (et al.) have explicit desire to bring down Trump and that a great deal of media stories are grossly inaccurate. Clearly, in this case, CNN staffers failed to meet their standard of integrity and likely this was unethical with desire to harm Trump. And these actions have harmed the country as they have unnecessarily diverted attention to the wrong villain.

The most compelling story about Trump and Russia remains his absolute failure to recognize and take any corrective or protective action in Russia's ongoing active measures to disrupt our democratic process.

And I also don't believe that CNN made up any story or intentionally published information they didn't believe was credible at the time, merely questionable.

And this Fox news slant is horse shit as well. The relative comparison of journalistic integrity between these organizations is laughable.

So you're not going with the "out of context" line?

There's two things from my perspective. One is the nature of the psychology of those on the far sides of ideology and how they process and respond. The second is the quality of an argument. In this case we have a video which is cut every few seconds and edited without full context and that's used as a basis for some point. I would agree that context matters and this fails, but you ought to understand that if I were to see Trump cut up and pasted together in such a way I'd feel the same. I would like to see in any such case the full recording so I can take it in instead of being herded like cattle down a path.

Excuse me, but the source in question has negative credibility. Less than zero.

Why would Trump take protective or corrective action when Russian actions benefit him personally?

Shee--it, Sherlock- Any vaguely patriotic president would have fired Sessions for lying to Congress about Russian connections.

I'm still trying to figure out why I should give a shit what a CNN health producer's personal opinion is on a news event.

Please, please, please keep talking about Russia, the 2016 Democratic bloodbath will be a distant memory once 2018 comes around :)

Precisely my point. The media has hurt us by aggressively pursuing leads that might indicate a conspiracy involving Trump but wouldn't directly implicate him or his administration. This is fine, but needs to be done with a lot of integrity.

But we are missing the real story. Trump's lack of attention to Russia and support of Flynn, Sessions, etc. are grossly incompetent. More importantly, they put us squarely in the crosshairs of Russian intelligence operations we know are ongoing. This behavior could be due to collusion, could be due to conflict of interest, could be due to naive incompetence, or could be due to (my leading hypothesis) inability to accept the reality of something that makes him look weaker. But that's not the most important question to answer. We're spending too much time worrying about the cause when the effect itself demands serious attention immediately.

Shhh! We're supposed to encourage their thought processes. They were convinced that Hillary had it in the bag and we're to keep them thinking that they are oh so very bright and that the nation is fully behind them.

I don't think you did too much damage though. Their arrogance is astronomical and it is important to criticize their thinking from time to time because it reinforces their belief in their superiority. You'd think that after repeatedly directing their ire at people while proclaiming how dumb that person is and receiving the same knowing grin every time the light bulb would come on and they'd start to think maybe they were the dummy. But it hasn't happened yet!

So easy...

And yet literally all notable accomplishments and innovation come from liberals. Science, engineering, literature, music, art ... and you are the smart one. The cognitive dissonance universally afflicting American conservatives is hilarious.

Hannity is a commentator, not a news person. Who lied about "Comey tapes"? Trump never said that he had tapes.
Trump said he sent detectives to Hawaii and dug up Obama fake birth certificates. What price did Trump or Fox pay for hyping that bullshit?

I note you are willing to take the word of someone with zero credibility with a history of doctoring footage. Your soul is getting blacker by the day.

Interesting you attack personality rather than policy. Is that because you can't defend Trumps Policy?

Sadly, there are a lot of stupid people in the US. They think tax cuts for the rich is somehow helping them. It's sad watching interviews of coal miners who said they'd be dead without Obamacare and will lose their health insurance with the repeal and replacement but they'd still vote Trump. Well, one less future vote.

why do these people keep getting fooled by the same shit?

The degenerates know it's fake, it's actually the liberals who're fooled into thinking they actually believe it. Decent people have a bad habit of assuming others are like themselves.

you liberals continue to amaze me, a story is retracted, people are resigning and theres actual video of cnn executives admitting that their mcarthyesque crusade against trump is completely fake news. yet through some incredible feats of mental gymnastics create this fiction that conservatives are the ones being duped.

and theres this gem:

"Decades of pure bullshit?" LOL, I get why you're angry over the left humiliating themselves on an hourly basis because of the incompetence of their idiotic Russia strategy, but try coming up with something less embarrassingly infantile next time.

What is the point of your post? Let's assume that CNN is totally discredited, does it discredit the misreporting from many many other news agencies re: Trump and Russia. Or does it discredit the actual FBI investigation in the Trump campaign and their Russian connections? You seem to use CNN as some catch all boogeymen for all the bad news Russia Trump receives from a myriad of sources.
