I know we have a lot of people interested in physics here so I thought I would bring attention to a great new series on PBS NOVA. Fabric of the Cosmos is a multi-part series that delves into the more fringe concepts of the universe like string theory, quantum entanglement, multi-verses , and more. It does it in a really clear manner too so that even those without a strong science background can understand it.

One of the few series I plan on purchasing.

You can also watch them on the PBS site.

The first episode was 'what is space' and deals with the idea what is there left when you take away everything, all the matter , all the particles we can detect ?

i've never seen any of the series myself (i only have basic cable), but i'm sure its quite fascinating, particularly for the layman...and Brian Greene is an excellent mainstream physicist. on that note, i have read a few of his books (The Elegant Universe, Icarus at the Edge of Time, & The Fabric of the Cosmos, the latter of which the TV series is based on) and i wasn't disappointed, even though those too are geared toward the layman and not someone w/ advanced knowledge of the material...
