Hi.

So I was just asked which plattform I want The Evil Whitin on. It's for reviewing purpose. The reason I ask is because I won't pay for it either way, and I don't know about the graphic differences. And after reading this article, the gap seems to be even less between PC and PS4.

It says you can manually override it to 60FPS, but I don't see the reason to do so if it ruins how the game is suppose to run.

What do you guys think?

Btw, I have a pretty decent PC (GTX 970, i5 4670K, etc.), so that's not the issue at all.

Well personally i'd go for PC. Better visuals overall especially with the kind of PC you have.

As far as reviews go i'd let the game run "as it's meant to be" since most people won't bother to override or tweak the game.

The biggest difference will be in the controls though and I think mouse/KB is always better in a FPS. But on the PC you'll always have to option to play with a controller.

My vote: PC

From everything I have read it sounds like it won't be very different between the systems. Kinda limited to the same settings. Maybe you can up the PQ but I don't know if it would be enough to outweigh the ease of use, lower power draw, and if you get a disc copy the ability to resell if you don't like it.

I'm thinking about getting it for ps4. I don't have the pc hooked up in my apartment to the tv and I like to play these type of games sitting on the couch. It's also not a fps so that doesn't matter otherwise I would prefer pc for first person. Watched a few trailers and it looked good so far. Reminds me of outlast. That game scared the crap out of me too.

You're asking this question on a PC gaming forum. I imagine most people are going to vote PC.

You would be correct though in that the PC version of The Evil Within appears to be a pretty direct port from consoles, so yeah, the differences aren't going to be that huge. It shouldn't really matter much whether you choose PC or PS4. Do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable.
