I was thinking that, instead of posting new desktop threads every week, and pretty much just seeing the same old stuff every time, why don't we just have one desktop thread that we bump every once in awhile? This will reduce n00b mid-week desktop threads, as well as people asking "what app are you using for..."-type questions every week.

As I have every Friday for the past few weeks, I will start things off:

Electrode's Clean and Efficient Desktop - Taken July 11, 2003

OS: Linux
Window Manager: Fluxbox 0.1.14
Style: Basalt, my third attempt at *box styles
Wallpaper: Fireball, created in 10 minutes using Paint Shop Pro 7, Eye Candy 4000 Fire plugin (trail), Flaming Pear SolarCell plugin (flare)

Dockapps: wmitime, asmem, wmusic, wmix, wmweather+, wmcalc, wmnd

Workspace pic - Updated at last! 12-7-2003

Dockapps: Pop-up Killer
Resolution: 1280x1024

I don't like messy desktops, so I disable all the icons. All my frequently used programs are in the startmenu.

how did you get your dual monitor setup to have 2 different backgrounds? I have dual heads on my videocard, and I can't have independent bg's. Are you using a special program?

i use that theme at work.....greyscale winamp 2.x skin is niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

im not worried about it ive been posting in these threads for years and ive never blacked it out

csyberblue to get 2 diff backgrounds i use "ultramon" it allows me to do that. it also gives me the task bar on teh secon monitor
