I just noticed that iraq wants to avenge this latest bombing... what do you people think about this? I think that they can try but this is david vs goliath and this 'aint a story book, the goliath here wont fall down. Besides, we have stealth bombers and stuff, those damn things can turn iraq into a puddle in a blink of an eye.

We see things through the eyes of the 'right' and the 'west'... if you were someone living in Iraq, you don't think you'd see the US as "the great satan" -- and thus do anything you could to hurt it?

To us it looks like the US is acting to keep a madman in check. To most of the rest of the world it looks like an act of agression by an imperialist nation.

True, very true.... but just because you are overmatched doesn't mean you give up and stop trying. I don't care if the leadership of Iraq gets bombed to hell -- I feel bad for his population that suffers from all this and has nowhere to turn.

Yep, the Iraqi's started this whole mess when they decided Kuwait would have been a nice area for annexation..... Of course, we would not have given a ratt's butt about that if it weren't for the oil in the ground there -- but that's a different thread.

We still need Iran and Iraq to balance the power in the area. Taking out Iraq completely (as far as military power) would cause some big problems in the region.

The reason we bombed them this time was because they were shooting at our aircraft that were patroling, and we were showing no threat to them... They were asking for it... We should just nuke the whole damn country, it would save us a lot of time...

Iraq may have started the war but that was 10 years ago.. Now we punish the Iraqi people for the actions of there leader.. Makes no sense..
