AUBURN HILLS, Mich.?After 23 years and more than 223,000 cars sold in the United States alone, Volkswagen of America is saying good-bye to one of its most stylish and classic models, the Volkswagen Cabrio. The last Cabrio for the U.S. left the factory in Puebla, Mexico, this summer.

In its time, the Volkswagen Cabrio was the best-selling European convertible sold in the U.S.

It would be nice to see VW make a convertible where the roof actually folds down all the way out of sight, like most of the rest of the world.

Oh yeah...

BTW: anyone wanna buy a restored 1972 (early 72, they changed them half way through the year with the first half having a "Flat" windshield and the second half having a curved windshield) super beetle convertible?

I restored it for my old boss, then he died (Unrelated to the CAR I might add).

His "kids" want to sell it now, and asked me to Ebay it for them.

Anyone interested, PM me and I'll give more details!!

well i guess if they're having a beetle convertible it doesn't make sense to have another car which is almost exactly the same...
