The end of Farscape

I've been a fan of Farscape from the beginning and was sad to see it cancelled. I think it was the best sci-fi to ever hit TV, right behind Babylon 5. I guess I was more partial to it since it was the only sci-fi show my wife has ever been able to get into.

The series finale "Peace Keeper Wars" was very good in my opinion. A little corny in spots, but overall in keeping with the excellent story-telling of the series.

Now's there no really good sci-fi on TV. SG1 and Atlantis are okay, not really good, IMO.

No, it would be motion to ban if he said

"OMG ANDROMEDA AND ENTARPRISE ARE TEH BEST SHOWS EVAR OMG!!!1!!one"

They love cancelling the shows that have a cult following (Farscape, Firefly) because they'll make money in syndication

BAN! 😛

That came out wrong! I meant to say that SG1 and Atlantis are good, but not as good as Farscape.

I try to watch Andromeda but it got kind of goofy. Enterprise has had it ups and down but has been getting better all the time.

Farscape has been great from episode 1.

I liked it. But why did you start another thread?

farscape was good proubly one of the better of the more recent sci-fi. but early SG1(current season is quite good so far though), DS9, TNG, and B5 all beat it by a HUGE margin.

but I do agree to many of my favorite shows died early. some that come to mind: Roswell (for some odd reason I liked it I don't know why), Space Above and Beyond, John Doe (OMG this show had such great potential it isn't even funny)

gah! I missed it. Hopefully they replay it a few times
Sunday, both parts. They did a good job, made me miss it being a series.

Crichton, surrounded and outgunned: "Surrender or die!" (They keep shooting.)
Scorpius: "You're enjoying yourself, aren't you John."

I fell in and out of the series.

It was always well writen, well told, even some damn good acting. (Okay, I admit it. I adore Claudia Black. And she looks absolutely FANTASTIC in black leather. :evil: )

But it got wierd at times, and I saw too much of it trying to replicate Star Trek. Come on, tell me the Luxans aren't just a little bit like the Klingons.... 😛

But Peacekeeper Wars was absolutely incredible. The storytelling was superb.

I would compare it to Forest Gump in a way.

It had a little something for everyone.

Drama,
Action,
Sci-Fi Hi Tech,
And even a good dose of humor.

I would recomend others see it, even if they have not watched the series. Yes, the series helps set the stage... And you might miss a bit of the backstory... But Peacekeeper Wars stands on its own as a damn good show.

I think that is enough rambling. 😉

Carry on.

It was very good, high production quality, good storyline.

* body count: >50
* breasts: 0
* explosions: (lost count)
* ominous thunderstorms: 0
* actors who've appeared on Star Trek: 0

Is it necessarily the end? Seems like they could weasel out of even Dargo's death if they wanted to. It was okay. I always preferred the average episodes to the epic ones that started and ended the years.

Just watched it, I love the epic story arcs, that is what made the show in my opinion. It is sad to see it go. Even if there were somehow another miniseries or something it wouldn't be the same. No more war, no more chasing john after wormhole tech.

I have no faith in american tv... it's too most of it is too much of a how can we get ratings this week kind of shows. I never watched this show but if it had an actually storyline then I'm saddened that it's gone...
