Passing for one reason on one of the best RPG's ever made they say - hundreds of unplayed games still waiting, including many RPG's, Icewind Dale II, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Planescape: Torment, Morrowind, Arx Fatalis, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity just to name a few. Good game, but worst interface I've ever used on a PC Game.. you can tell it was designed for a console and PC was an afterthought. Not thread crapping, just commenting, good game overall, but the interface ruins it for me.

There's no comparison -- PC. Mods being the biggest reason why but also stability, patches and improved performance over time.

Thankfully there are several mods to make the interface not suck on the pc. I do agree that it is ATROCIOUS on pc by default.

Agreed 100%. The mod scene alone adds an almost endless dimension to the game.

PC unless your PC is really old, in which case you won't enjoy it mod or otherwise. You should have atleast a 7800GS (about $150) video card to consider playing Oblivion on a PC. You might play at 640x480 on a 6800GT, but that's about it. Anything older and you really need to either upgrade your PC or play the XBox 360 version.

Does it get better after the beginning dungeon? I can't seem to get into it.

I think because of the first-person view. If I switch to third-person, then the icon to pick up items or open doors dissappears. Have to keep zooming in again to do things.

Does it get better? The beginning dungeon is an introduction to the game, the rest is 10x better. Elder Scrolls games should be played in 1st person.

Great game, though no where near as good as Morrowind... Bethesda completely dumbed the gameplay down so that anyone can beat the game now.

go here and browse around. depending on your system, there are some awesome graphical enhancement modes and there are TONS of game play mods and add-ons.
