Interesting...I'll be in Louisiana around that time and would like to see them but $65-$95 is a real killer for one night of fun...

Not to mention that I'd be the youngest fan there :)

great... old stoners getting stoned... not that the eagles aren't a very good band and a tremendous influence... but old stoners getting stoned just leaves a... familiar stench in the air

Then again...they're definitely a band I'd like to see before they pass on...the others would have been the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennet :(

Broke? Far from it. The Eagles are all multi-millionaires. Sheeeeet, Joe Walsh and Don Henley could buy any island in the Pacific they wanted. They could all live very comfortably for the rest of their lives just on the royalty checks they get every month.

But, as others have said Eagles Tickets = Mortage payment. And people will wait outside, in the heat, with no water for a week to purchase them. They know this. Why do you think they are touring again? Same reason the Rolling Stones keep going; the money. It's guaranteed they'll sell out every arena they play.

ps
The last tour was the "Hell Freezes Over" tour; this one is the "Hell and the band members have thawed-out" tour. :D

Hell Freezes Over....Again?! Tour, eh?

Now WTF are they coming to Bossier City (craphole), Baton Rouge (don't get me started), and Biloxi (well...there are alot of old people there) and not New Orleans. They could easily sell out the New Orleans Arena, or even put a big dent in the Superdome's seating. Oh well, I'm not going to shell out the ridiculous amount they want for tickets anyways, so who am I to complain?

I saw the Eagles at Great Woods, MA in the mid-seventies when they were at their commercial peak. They were a big disappointment. The entire concert was maybe 30-45 minutes long. Their music was just a radio friendly version of music that acts like the Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, Graham Parsons, Roger McGuinn/the Byrds, etc. did so much better.

OTOH, I saw Joe Walsh playing with Barnstorm (sharing a billing with Marshall Tucker) at about the same time-and he was awesome.
