I agree that corn syrup and corn is in too many places. But I do not know why it would matter if its GMO or not. All GMO means is they improved some genes so that plants have higher yields, GMO plant = upgraded plant. its like overclocking for DNA.

They say Newkie brown is #1 because of artificial coloring, but they do not state the quantity of coloring or the amount of ammonia in the coloring. If they have like 100 PPM of ammonia or some other near 0 amount, its pretty much negligible.

for #2-5, Adjunct lagers suck

for #6, it might sound yucky, but is there any particular reason why this would be bad other than being squeamish

and #7 and 8 are more adjunct lagers.

corn does not belong in any beer unless its a creme ale.

Lagers can be good if they are pure and bitter, though I am a stout/ale man 99.99% of the time.

I want GMO hops, GMO yeast, GMO barley,GMO oatmeal breakfast stout, yummm!!!!!

Then I advise you stay out of Peru. D:

OK thanks Zin, I may have been a bit extreme in my judgement, my complaint is about adjuncts added to lagers to make them cheaper.

When I was brewing beer, there were many recipes that called for isinglass (fish bladder) to remove the cloudiness. I don't see how the article can demand "organic" but decry the use of isinglass...

Because, it's icky. Part of the anti-modern food movement is to associate stuff they don't like or think they don't like with ickiness or industrial processes, a guilty-by-association. Just like the claims of propylene glycol in beer - it sounds like antifreeze, but when you dig deeper into the claim, it's actually propylene glycol alginate, which is a very different chemical compound. It's just that it 'sounds like' anti-freeze, so it must be.

This article was a pretty dumb one today: Could Wearable Computers Be As Harmful as Cigarettes? With quotes from great quacks like Dr. Mercola and leaving the general impression that cell phones can cause cancer. It seems like the nonsense with high-voltage transmission lines increasing rates of childhood cancer. All it takes is a couple of quacks with credentials to create myths that never die out.

The link from the OP makes me glad I brew what I drink. I'm not all that worried about the ingredients killing me per se, but those extras shouldn't be in there in the first place.

I was fully expecting to see that Corona contains human urine. Shocked that wasn't listed.

2. BUDWEISER

budweiser gmo beer

One of the most popular beers, or most advertised is Budweiser. Budweiser contains genetically modified (GMO) corn. In 2007, Greenpeace discovered experimental GMO rice in Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) beer.

Greenpeace couldn't find 6 o'clock at 5:45.

Was digging ditches for drain pipe, used bags of rock for some back fill...anyway in giant bold print it screamed "DURABLE, LONG LASTING, LOW MAINTENANCE!"

But that's not the worst part, person I was working with took me to Sonic and I read their menu and prices.
