Tell him your worst quality is that you have an inexplicable desire to kill any and all authority figures including him.

Ok, more seriously I think LOLyourFace had a good response.

"I hate being asked the same question more than 3 times. The first time I am glad the person asked. The second time I don't really mind. The third time I ask them to write it down. The forth time is just annoying."

I usually answer with, "I just about go nuts when I don't have something to do." It sounds good, but more importantly it's true. I will find something to do if there isn't anything to do... it just might not be a work-related thing. (read: posting on internet forums :p)

Addendum: depending on the job I also may use, "I can't handle doing nothing but mindless work, the kind that doesn't particularly require any thought. Without some kind of variety or something that requires me to think I'll go crazy." Not a good answer for a McJob, but if you're interviewing for a sales position or something with, well, variety it's a valid thing to say.

WOMAN: Mr. Murphy, do you see yourself as having any weaknesses?

SPUD: Well, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. For me it's the best or nothing at all. If things get dodgy, I can't be bothered, but I have a good feeling about this interview. Seems to me we've touched on a lot of subjects, a lot of things to think about, for all of us.

I tend to overexplain things. Like when someone asks me a question or when I instruct people on how to do something, I tell them everything on my mind - watch out for this, for that, etc.

Oops. ;)

I had an interview yesterday I guess it was more of a "stress" interview. I waited for an hour and a half before the guy decided to interview me. Once I got in there I was suammarily punched in the balls repeatedly. "Did you work in High School?".........No.........."Oh so your parents paied for everything then, so did they buy you your car?" Um yeah................."So you havent worked the past two years, what have you been doing?" ..........I decided to stop working 20-30hrs a week and going to school full time, I wanted to focus soley on academics and graduate..........."Oh so how did you pay for that, did you get student loans?" Yeah I did.............."Oh that had to be expensive what like $15,000......$20,000?".............Um well actually it's a little more..........."So what do your parents do" etc etc etc.......

In my opinion this line of questioning was borderline illegal, WTF do any of those questions have to do with the job. I paitently waited 1 1/2 hour only to get harrased.

I think your response should be honest. If you say nothing, that is even worse. The key is to then say what you are doing about it to make it better. What steps are you taking to improve. End on the positive.

I would say that sometimes I don't wait for the salt and lime before I shoot the tequila.

That's horse manure. You're working for them as much as they're looking for someone to help them out. If someone made me wait 1.5 hours with no apologies/unforeseen circumstances, I'd let them know exactly what I thought about that job opportunity. I'd wipe the smirk off their high-horse face. You should've at least stepped up and questioned the questions.

I got an interview coming up for a government job sometime soon.

The question they gona ask is not what my weakness is. That's for the average joe job.

No they ask you, for 30 min straight, questions like "If you were a fruit, which fruit would you be and why?".

Then they gona ask for me to make a 5 minute presentation.

The worst part? I have been doing that job for over a year already. I just hope the presentation thing is a rumor.

If not I'm gona make a 5 min presentation on why we should be switching from Intel to AMD based Opteron CPUs for the servers.

I can be quite convicing after I tore appart Intel for 4 min straight.

Nah too easy... I duno I'll make something up on the spot.

I would just say that it's a B.S. question and ask them if they want a B.S. answer. :D

I tend to always be late to work and like to leave early. I also smoke so I take 10-15 breaks a day to satisfy this addition. All in all I would say I do actual work for about 15 minutes a day. Is that a problem?

I didn't know that was frowned upon. Because if anybody had let me know, I absolutely would not have.... "You're fired George."
