Aliens**

Lawful non-immigrants on visas (e.g., diplomatic and consular personnel and families, foreign students, tourists with unexpired Form I-94, or Border Crossing Document DSP-150)

Ha Ha Ha! WTF....

Recruiter: Sir you have been inducted. Please get ready to fight! We are invading Iran
Tourist: Huh... But I come from Tehran

All the info you need here.

Also available in chart form.

Even if you do have to register, you can always apply for Conscientious Objector status.

NON-CITIZENS
Some non-citizens are required to register. Others are not. Noncitizens who are not required to register with Selective Service include men who are in the U.S. on student or visitor visas, and men who are part of a diplomatic or trade mission and their families. Almost all other male noncitizens are required to register, including illegal aliens, legal permanent residents, and refugees. The general rule is that if a male noncitizen takes up residency in the U.S. before his 26th birthday, he must register with Selective Service.
I bolded the part that might apply to you.

Congress would have to pass legislation to restart the draft. Anyone that voted for it would lose their jobs in the following election cycle. Theres never going to be a draft unless WWIII started and the US was attacked by another nation(not terrorists).

Or if Tricky Dicky gets us into Iran.

Yeah Id like to see the White House try to go to Iran.

Congress isnt going to give approval. Nor will the American people.

Hell if they tried that I can see some rattlings by Congress with some untested parts of the War Powers Act. Honestly if the White House tried to go to Iran, there would be a Supreme Court showdown, that even the court being packed with conservatives, wouldnt side with the White House.

Congress gave support for Iraq. They wont give support for Iran. Period.

With the WPA Congress gave itself power to immediately withdraw troops with the passing of a concurrent resolution by a 2/3 vote. They wouldnt even have the standard 30 days(+60), because even before the President reported to Congress, Congress would already be well on its way to trying to pass concurrent resolutions.

No politician in their right mind would allow troops to be sent to another country in an election year with a lame duck president. It would be political suicide.

We arent going to go to war with Iran. Atleast not under this administration.

why are you so afraid of Selective Service? It's not a draft. Not until the government forces an actual draft will the names on the selective service list even be used.
oh, and even if you are not on the list.. pretty sure, through the Census (in a few years), that they will find males that qualify for a draft and can still call you up for a draft. Drafts are tricky and I bet your name could still come up even without registering.
It's not worth the hassle of not registering with Selective Service.

I find it funny that illegal aliens are "required" to register. Register, you illegal aliens, lest you break the law!

There's lots of funny stuff in the law books, such as drug dealers being required to pay income tax on the sale of illegal drugs :)

And in regards to the draft, I wouldn't worry about it. There's no way the U.S. is declaring war on anyone any time soon, doing that would be political suicide for everyone involved in approving it. And regarding World War III, as the saying goes, "I know not with what weapons WWIII will be fought, but WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones."

I actually know this because I'm a naturalized citizen. If you got a green card, then you have to register. If you're a citizen, then you have to register. If you're here illegally, I wouldn't register.
