Bolton can't know what he's doing because Trump doesn't.

Can you imagine the mental gymnastics needed to support Trump after he repeatedly demonstrates how completely not in control he is? Literally everyone in his cabinet walks over him and does what they want anyways. How incredibly emasculating.

I can completely see this defended "Well you guys wanted to keep us in Syria forever and now you are getting your wish. Don't complain because you got what you wanted".

Betcha.

Well, the big win here is that it got Mattis out of the Pentagon so that Trump could roll in yet another monied CEO stooge into a position that puts him in control of the giant contracts that he used to bid for.

Because, totally not corrupt.

A policy of chaos, egads.
Tearing down the institutions of democracy & our faith in it seems to be Trump's mission.

Putin has reason to be proud. The mindfuck he helped work on American conservatives is astounding.

They are simple people. He just needed the internet to give him the ability to send them messages.

John frickin Bolton never met a military adventure he didn’t like. Next thing we know he’ll be laying out reasons why it needs to be escalated even more. We need to leave yesterday. No conditions or asterisks or any other bs. No more military adventurism and world policing.

Its actually easier if you're NOT agile. Slow, selfish, horrible people just blindly believe whatever the fuck he says, even if its routinely contradictory.

Cool you’re a neocon. Congrats?
You realize that Trump has shifted and Bolton works for him, or is Trump so weak of mind and character that Bolton mind controls him?

Trump will have us staying for as long as it takes, AKA forever. My how great a brain that takes.

Totally agree with you about Bolton, emotionally agree with you on much of the rest. But the fact of the matter is that area of the Mid-East is in total turmoil and near anarachy (except where forces opposed to USA like Iran and Russia have rolled in) because of the foolish blunders we made under GWB. We really should fixed what we broke. More importantly-this time at least-we should stand by our allies (the Kurds) instead of abandoning them again. That is if we ever want allies again.

BTW Turkey already announced they were sending in forces to Syria to go after the Kurds and The Donald gave them his blessing. Is Trump reversing on that now as well?

I'm afraid this policy will stay in place until Trump changes his mind again-it could be in five minutes or never, who knows.

If nothing else Trump has given great encouragement to the Taliban, ISIS and the like-whose main strategy is to keep bleeding the US until we decide the cost is too great to stay. Trump's clearly indicated he wants out of both places ASAP. Something like the Marines barrack bombing in Lebanon (under St. Ronald's term) should seal the deal for ISIS.

You do know that if Trump was a General he would have McAurthur and Patton look like school children!
In fact I would guess that General Trump would be called the worlds greatest General ever!!!
