!--begin rant--!
Okay so awhile back our company moved to a new office building in Charlotte's historic/trendy SouthEnd area (the building is actually a converted mill with huge factory windows, exposed brick, large wooden beams and great flooring.)
Right across the street there's a brand new Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins and I'm thinking to myself "sweet!!!" You see, although NC is the home of Krispy Kreme, I am a sucker for Tim Horton's and Dunkin (in that order.) One morning as I came to work I could actually smell donuts when I got out of my car. So I decide to go fetch some donut hole treats...and the shop is closed. No cars outside. No donuts. Lights are on inside but the place is a mess. WTF??
This continues for the next two weeks. I will smell donuts, run over to DD, and they're ALWAYS CLOSED!! Haven't been able to ask the locals what the deal is, but its either been shut down (seems unlikely, how could a DD not do well?) or its been under construction and hasn't opened yet.
Where the hell is the donut smell coming from? I did a little Internet yellow pages search for donut shops in this area and nothing came up except the DD. SO WHO THE FVCK IS BAKING ALL THESE FVCKING DONUTS???!!?
