The Dodge Magmum

magnum man, my brother had one and a freind had one, one was tan the other black, both had black leather seats, floor shifters and 360-2 engine

one still sites in the back yard, dead now

thanks for the site

were did the name magnum really come from?

i remember I torn down my freinds 360-2 engine, it had some power, with 2.4 gears it was slow off the line. but from 20 to 50 in first gear it moved. it was fun racing people in town. you would try to get people to race when moving around 25 miles in hour, slam it in first and go it also had execlent speed in second from 50 to 80 or so, great for passing on the highway

the large sized bottle of wine from france

the magnums are nice... but why did they take the magnum front end and the 500m and mix them together and call it the charger?

Magnum, quite simply, is a Latin form meaning "Great" Depending on its context, it can mean both "large" and "awesome."

The car is very appropriately named 🙂

after we pounded the magnum to it's death, well not really, it just got recycled

the engine was pulled and put in a black 76 dodge conversion van with a blown engine

the tranny went into another car and the rearend went some place else, it was a durable car, rust miles and abuse did the body in, this was a salt WI car

soon later on it was a dodge mirada that we used for bar hoping, those were the days, you couldn't even think of doing the stuff we did back then now, busted

I'll be picking up a RT this weekend (been looking them over for about 3 weeks now). Test drove a SE (3.5L) with the dragon package (and 20" Rims), and it was amazing, but it was in Silver (boo).
