This thread is truly one of the saddest things I've had the displeasure of reading.

DessertCart is an obvious fake, and anybody that treats him with courtesy or respect is a sucker, plain and simple.

Hey, and if any of you are interested in a bridge, check out the For Sale/Trade forum

Agreed. This thread was funny initially when I thought that he was being serious. Now it's clear to ME that he's just having fun on our expense and this thread is no longer funny. Thanks for the initial laugh, DC :)

Betty Botter bought a bit of butter.
"But," said she, "this butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter,
It will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter
That would make my batter better."
So Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter
(Better than her bitter butter)
And she put it in her bitter batter
And made her bitter batter a bit better.

<< DessertCart is an obvious fake >>

I do not understand this. How can I be a "fake" when I have never professed to be anything other than an intelligent man? As I have said before, I have high levels of smartness in many areas, one of which is psychology. I have never claimed to be a psychologist or a doctor of any sort. I apologize if many of you assumed that I was. I can understand that you might have thought this due to my expertise in this field. Again, I am not claiming to be anything that I am not, therefore I cannot be a "fake".

I do enjoy psychology and evaluating people who need help. My offer still stands -- if anyone needs help, please contact me. Texas and Rusty should be first in line, but unfortunately they do not realize their problems.

Lukflim-

I am serious as the heart attack. This is not funny. Psychological disorders ruin lives. Many members of this site probably put their family members in misery. I am here to help. This is no laughing matter. I am very educated in these matters.

By the way, I am also an expert on income tax accounting. I can also help with tax problems, which can also ruin lives. I am smarter and have higher IQ than CPA's.

Bobyferret-

Why do you display such obscenities? Does this make you feel like strong man? This could be the sign of mental disorder.

<< you should learn to laugh. men who laugh find life to be more pleasurable. women will also like you more. >>

I laugh plenty, but I don't joke around when people ask me questions - I try to be honest and have integrity when answering such questions. It's simple, really; in joking threads, etc., I can be quite funny, but this thread isn't a joking matter. It really shows the tragic psychological state of some of the more valued members of this forum; before this, I was under the impression that Texmaster was a conservative but honest guy. This thread has shown me the light. I will make sure that in the future, I consider his syndrome before arguing with him - I wouldn't want to worsen his condition at all. What would you recommend for those of us in the forums that would like to help out with the problems of members like Texmaster and Russ?

<< Entity would never joke about anything that serious. All members of ATOT got together and voted in a tightly-contested poll. Texmaster was chosen as head for his maturity, prowess and stable mental condition. Do you think he shouldn't have won? And if so, why? >>

Thank you for your corroboration, LukFilm.

<< How can I be a "fake" when I have never professed to be anything other than an intelligent man? >>

And that's exactly what's fake. You have yet to say anything remotely intelligent. I can say the sky is green, but that doesn't make it true. And your repeated claims of "smartness" don't make you intelligent.

<< I am smarter and have higher IQ than CPA's. >>

And in addition to being a genius in nearly every aspect of life, I'm sure you're also wealthy and powerful.

<< Why do you display such obscenities? Does this make you feel like strong man? This could be the sign of mental disorder. >>

The only mental disorder I see around here is yours.

this is typical symptom of men with your disorder. you feel the desire to place the problem on someone else in your environment. that is textbook psychology.

C'mon admit that you are an old member or a lurker that just now registered. Calling BoberFett bobyferret only prove my point.

BTW, textbook pysch would say that you love attention so much that you are willing to spend your time being a troll on a internet forum. A funny troll at that.

<< being a troll on a internet forum >>

what is the meaning of "troll"? I do not understand this.

No, I am not an old member. Yes, I recently joined and have met some nice people, but some rude people too. Many people here do not want other smart man joining their site. I am sorry for this.

<< Calling BoberFett bobyferret >>

excuse me, sir. bobyferret makes sense. boberfett does not. sorry for the misspelling.

You seem to be borderline Napoleon Complex. Does displaying the specifications of a pumped up muscle car make you feel like a tough man?

Hopefully the troll will reveal himself before this thread drags on too awfully long. It's starting to get repetitive... :(

Wow - I actually read all seven pages. Is it too late to get in on this? :D

DesertCat - when you say you have high levels of intelligence, what do you base it on?

Your relatives membership in Mensa? That means nothing for two reasons. You aren't in the club and membership is trivial anyway...

Perhaps it is because you are (in your own words) fluent in multiple languages. From where I sit, you aren't particular fluent in English.

Maybe it's because you are well aducated (i.e trained in psychology) - Why then are you unable to figure out that 75000 AT members are making fun of you?

What do you do for a living anyway? If I had to guess, I would say you write fortune cookies - meaningless drivel puported to be wisdom repeated over and over again.

As Red Dawn said, Welcome to AT, enjoy your stay. I am sure I will.

Who is making fun with me?

<< What do you do for a living anyway? >>

I am currently on the cancer research team for MD Anderson. I am studying behavioral disorders in mice and how these disorders accelerate the production of cancer cells.

<< membership is trivial anyway... >>

this is typical of someone who's IQ is 50% lower than the least intelligent member of MENSA

I'd tell you that if you were looking for Lab Rats that this would be a good place to be, but since everyone knows
that lab rats are pretty smart that wouldn't be a true statement ! Oh, but we do have a never ending supply of lemmings

I'll have to agree about the triviality of membership on MENSA. I've been given numerous personal invitations to join the group (Philippine chapter) but i never saw the value in it.

To me it's just another impractical application of knowledge. Wisdom, knowledge and intelligence is better off used in more practical means. I'm the type of person who believes in street-smarts just a tad bit more than book-smarts.

So, sadly i'll have to disagree with your statement below. Being a member of MENSA doesn't mean a persons IQ is higher than someone without the membership priviledges.

Additionally, IQ/Intelligence isn't everything in this world.

The benefits of membership are endless. You obviously never researched it.

<< I'm the type of person who believes in street-smarts just a tad bit more than book-smarts. >>

I'm the type of person who has both.

This my friend is just a presumption. Additionally, there is no such thing as "endless".

<< The benefits of membership are endless. You obviously never researched it. >>

I never said i didn't have them, i said i believe in street-smarts just a tad bit more.

<< I'm the type of person who has both. >>

btw, don't think i'm attacking you. i just enjoy a debate every now and then :) wb 2d board.

Seems to me that anyone so smart would be IN Mensa along with your relatives - whay have you not joined?
Kind of odd.
Or do you not consider Mensa to be worth the time/effort?
Oh, also - what do you actually do for a living?
Really, though, you will communicate better with people here if you do not convey a sense of arrogance and superiority.
Best to introduce yourself slowly, rather than anger people right off the bat.

Especially Russ - he is VERY well liked here and respected.
Foolish to fight with him like that.
For instance, if you enter a group without humility, you stand a much better chance of being accepted.
Egad, I'm rambling here - there must be some hidden meaning to this little post of mine.
Christians are urged to be humble, BTW.
Toodles!
