The devolution of the small toe

I have noticed on my feet that i rarely use the small toe, even for balance. The great toe seems to hold the pinacle of importance. Judging by how the toes get smaller as they proceed to the small toe, can it be assumed that human's are devolving the smaller toes?

well considering humans only really walk nowadays(and us lazy americans only drive) we don't need that type of balance. think about early humans, crouching and crawling, hiding and hunting......try squating and staying balanced, you'll find that you use your little toes and the outside of your feet, unless of course you make a wide base.

edit and on second thought it's logical that they get smaller as they go out, you have more control on the inside, and you won't hit your toes as much(well hypotheticaly, i always cream my little toe)

No. You fundamentally misunderstand evolution.

There's no such thing as de-evolution. Though evolution may take an alternat path because of an environment change.
