The designer of seatbelts MUST have been a man..;.

There was a picture in yesterday's Oregonian that reminded me of this...

Think about it, would a woman really have designed the shoulder belt that way? If a woman had designed it we would have ended up with cars having 5-point harnesses as standard equipment, or just a lap belt.

Gotta love the diagonal strap.

:D

Of course 5 point harnesses favor guys who wear cups.

Maybe that's their revenge? We put a strap that makes their chest very umm... obvious, & they put a strap to us where it counts.

Smart, aren't they?

Personally, I think it's a fair trade.

MajesticMoose...

He may talking about chafing, which the edges of seatbelts are quite capable of doing.

seatbelts naturally tighten after hard acceleration. Take about 300hp under full acceleration for several seconds, then let off the gas,and it will tighten up real good on you.

most chicks hated my mustang just for that reason!

I used to drive a Saturn that had very naughty seatbelts. Every so often, when I would put the car in park, the seat belts would tighten up on me and pin me down.

I'd have to strain against the tight belt which was cleaving into me and restart the car to be free! Darn bondage-mobile.

Unfortunately, I inherited claustrophobia from my mother, and I can't stand seat belts, even though I know they were designed to save my life:eek: -kd5-

5 point harnesses are a good thing.
