The Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC is out!!!!

Oh yeah, the monitor I've been waiting so long for! It looks like Dell finally released their new 30" LCD, the UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC. It's $1699 now, which isn't too bad, but I might wait for the first deal to actually jump on it. But for the people that have been holding out for awhile and can't wait, $1699 ain't a bad price for this guy.

Sexy panel for sure, but for the price they really should've included more input options and 1:1 pixel mapping, especially since its being sold as a different panel vs. the original 3007WFP.

The main selling point of this monitor is the improved response time and the much improved picture quality. Extra inputs would have been nice but that's not a big thing for me.
 
Yeah it's been out for a little while, a few guys on HardForums have the HC and most of them love it. 1 2 3

There was one on the AT FS forums recently for $1100 shipped...extremely tempting but I went with a 37" Westy instead. The native res of the 3007 would be awesome for desktop use but man...dual GTXs would be a must if you are into gaming and you'd have to keep upgrading your SLI/CF setup every 6 months or so in order to keep the eye candy on.

That is some crazy money for a monitor.

Having said that, I remember paying $1200 for my Sony F520 like 6 yrs ago (21 in) and thinking I got a good deal.

I hope this means price breaks for the 2407. I've been saying that for a while now.
 
As others have mentioned, it's complete crap that they won't put more inputs on these 30" inchers. I will never buy one unless they do.
