I'm trying to buy a Samsung 900nf monitor that is supposed to be on sale for $277, down from $325. But when I add it to my cart, the price is $325. What is up with this Dell shopping site??

It happened with another monitor I tried that was not a dell monitor. I think it gotta be a dell monitor for it to discount, even though the product page shows the discount.

Are you buying from the Home or Small business site?

There are 2 different ones.. and sometimes discounts are only applicable in one or the other. So if you are in the Dell Small Business site, try going through Dell home, and see if that fixes the problem.

The 15% off doesn't apply to the Home section, so the Samsung is full price on the page. :(
Those bastards! I have a small business. Really I do.

Which is what I should do.

Why?

Because if you ever buy a Dell system and it has a rebate they will make the rebate payable to your BUSINESS NAME. I found this out the hard way but with some creative finaggling I was able to rectify the situation.

That's a good question, I was wondering that myself ... unless, lemme try something.

D'oh didn't work, tried adding it to my cart, clicked checkout, logged into my Dell account, went through check out and the price remained $325.

Great monitor BTW.

:(

I may buy it for $325 anyway, but Newegg has the monitor for about $350. Tax makes the Dell site's price about the same.

It's probably because it isn't a Dell monitor. When I was trying to get a monitor from Dell in September, I couldn't get the 900NF as well.. had to settle for their P992, which is still pretty good though..

If you want the discount that bad just call them and show them the site. If they don;t give it to ya go to Newegg.com or maybe even staples(with a coupon and free shipping) etc...

I own this monitor and I highly recommend it. I bought it for $295 shipped overnight from Dell when there was some kind of special running a few months back.

I can call them.. but what will I tell them my business is? I suppose I could say it's a design firm that hasn't had any actual business yet.
