I understand wanting to keep P&N clean of a large number of topics related to one thread. The problem is due to the sheer number of posts in the debate thread (1000 and counting) having any dicussion on anything but a generality of the debate is difficult. Yes discussing Bidens moment when he talked about his wife and daughter, or discussing Palins lack of knowledge regarding certain areas is obviously part of the debate, the problem is they are specific subjects regarding the debate and are not discussing the debate as a whole (which is what the "debate thread" does). So while I understand locking the "wow who won the debate" "That was an awesome debate" ect can we keep open the specific discussion on certain parts of the debate (the way a candidate answered a question for example) since trying to have a discussion among 1000 posts is difficult if not impossible?
