I watched the movie yesterday because my friends dragged me, not of my own free will.
Horrible.... not enough effects if thats what they were trying to aim for. No plot, just a series of cause and effect mumbo-jumbo. I would've rather paid a rental for Twister than have watched this.

The movie does highlight, however, the extremely high debt Latin Americans owe the US government

Where is the "My husband made me go" option?

Seriously though, I have always enjoyed "end of the world" movies. Something about seeing what all that water in New York would look like I guess! :p

I'd give the movie a 7 out of 10. Everyone knew what the plot was going into it but it kept my attention. I gotta give it to the special effects department though, they did a great job. I'd say it was worth watching.

the only reason i would watch this movie is for the special effects. i already assumed the movie had no plot.

needs more tornados, like how about 100 tornados touch down in Tornado Alley and
could've at least had better romance scenes with the girl with the guy... and possibly that cute dog

it was VERY slow when there were no effects....and even the effects weren't jaw dropping...

Rule of film - Story First, Effects that support story second.

They needed a good lead actor as well...Donnie Darko was cool, but they needed someone more famous for the dad.

They'll probably make a lot of money anyways.
