Barring the obvious political overtones and the "green" agenda, it was a good movie.

Dude, you spoiled it for me by telling me it has a terrible ending. Now I'm expecting a terrible ending.

Just like when people say there's a surprise ending. Still spoils it for some people.

As long as you watch it for a disaster movie, and only a disaster movie, I'd pay $4.50 to see it. Hell, I paid $7.75 to see it.

i agree. people are reading too much into it. just watch it for the sakes of entertainment.

this is the time of the year where you don't take movies seriously, or else you would get frustrated almost everytime.

The whole science behind thoes deep sea currents was cool because I've read several articles on that scenario.

The hollywood drama aspect of the movie was incredibly lame. There should have been 10x the bloody death, R rating, and a dark ending.
Nix the hero, the virginesque girl, and the prevailing posse.

When you work on big budget movies, you'll understand how the story take second seating to the popcorn effects process. Studios are marketing driven. Plus, if you have prior success like Emmerich, you can skate through with a script written on the back of a napkin. ;)

Loved the book burning instead of all the tables and chairs in that place!
WHAT are the writers of that movie thinking?

If you were going to freeze would you rather burn books or tables? Of course the books are easier to burn!
