The Day After The Election: What will P&N be like?

I've been thinking, what will the board be like after the Presidential election results come in?

Here's my prediction: lots of gloating; very little analysis; more insulting than usual; claims of "ownage", etc.

My worst fear, that I predict will be the case, will be that people will argue: "your side lost and therefore you are wrong!" (appeal to popularity).

If I'm still around, which may not be the case, I'd seriously consider just waiting a couple weeks to let everyone calm down. But maybe I wouldn't.

No matter who wins, I think we should sit and wait anxiously to find out who will fill the key posts in the administration. Kerry's choices are rather unknown. If Bush wins, I wonder how much he'll clean house (hopefully he'll gut the place and get some thinkers in there)

IIRC P&N did not exist until well into 2002 or even 2003.

There's no question it will be a dopey flame-fest regardless of the outcome. God knows what it would have been like in the very uncertain weeks following the 2000 election.

I agree except I dont' think they would go for good. I think we would see an all time low in neoconservative participation UNTIL bad news hit that could be blamed (rightly or not) on Kerry, at which point we might see a slow progression to anti-clinton style hysteria on their part.

If I'm not mistaken, P&amp;N was created on March 26, 2003 partially because of this 3300+ post thread in Off Topic. From what I've read, the mods desired to confine flames, insults, etc. primarily to a forum all by itself.

We discussed 9/11 and politics at great length on ATOT up until last year.

I'll tell you exactly whats going to happen. The lib crew in here is going to be going nuts that Kerry lost, and make more statements of Bush being stupid, a criminal, a murder, etc.. And say how the American people are too stupid to not see any of it.
