The Darkness

A friend likened them to Queen meets Van Hallen meets AC/DC. One of their singles Growing on Me was in School of Rock (and on the Soundtrack). They're just a huge throwback to old 80's big hair bands, but in a good way. Their music video's are insanely over the top and so bad... they're freaking hilarious and awesome. If you like rock at all, you should do yourself a favor and either watch or at least listen to Growing on Me and I Belive in a Thing Called Love.

That song I Believe in a Thing Called Love is pretty good. Atleast, it does a good job of getting stuck in my head. 😀

I was flipping channels last night and they showed one of their videos on MTV. 😕 I was hoping that MTV would start playing more rock for the kids. I hope that this is not the crap they actually start buying. The return of 80's hair bands! Ack!

Hell yeah! I love The Darkness. I saw their video on accident. Man, that song got me hooked.

"I believe in a thing called love.. Just listen to the beat of my heart... Touching youuuu... Touching meeee."

Great band!

The album is SUPERB..one of my favorites of the year.
In the movie School of Rock they actually used the instrumental for Black Shuck...in the scene where the kid drummer goes to that dude's van.
Then they threw Growing on Me for the soundtrack.
