That movie was pure brilliance when I watched it as a kid. I think that a sequel is still planned. I don't know about any games based on the movie though, there was one?

isn't like 30 years too late?

I don't see how the number of years in between projects/subjects/franchises Et cetera would mean anything for the potential viewer/consumer. In my opinion what matters is more who's behind the concerned project's revival, more than how long it has been since we've seen or heard of it.

I think Dark Crystal would make an awesome little action/adventure game. Single or possible 2 player Co-op.

I watched a documentary on Jim Henson (after he died). They claimed that when he first showed the finished movie to the movie executives, there was dead silence after the movie ended (i.e. they thought the movie sucked). They claimed that Jim never really got over that.

I'd love to see a modern Dark Crystal game. The Gortham black crab thingies really creeped me out when I was a kid.

I'd be pissed too!

The movie was great! The only other movie that comes close to it is Meet The Feebles from that sick twisted director Peter Jackson

Damn Skeksis used to keep me up at night. :(

Love that movie though and would definitely play a game. Reminds me I need to pick up the Blu-ray. :hmm:

It was one of those games where you type " Go North", "Dig Hole" and the picture would change. Fun back in the day.

I remember my Atari version having more colors though.

It's like a fine wine; besides, look how many comic stories are being remade umpteen yrs later.
Puppets are hardly like fine wine. No one is going to pay to see a puppet movie, except for people who are still reminiscing about the first movie. We live in an age where people want the best visual experience in every movie. Puppets just aint gonna cut it in today's movie scene.

This isn't your average movie with actual people in it; its a bunch of freaking puppets. We live in an age where people want the best visual experience in every movie. Puppets just aint gonna cut it in today's movie scene.

I'd pay to see this again, and for a PC game!

IMO Pixar can NEEVVER put out a better movie that The Dark Crystal

Ya a game would be great. Sadly ubisoft would probably get their dirty hands on it and make some dudu...

I have this and Labyrinth on blu-ray. Also picked up Gremlins. All had games, or multiple games, made about them.

However, I could see a modern game coming out based on one of these movies but the problem would be the current generation of gamers wouldn't know what the hell the game would be about. As such, it might not sell very well.
