The Chicago Cubs pitcher is not expected to throw off the mound for a few days after he slipped this week getting out of a hot tub at home. Wood landed on his stomach and chest.

problem where do you place the blame on that? with the couch that pushed him to throw far more then he should have even when hurt (which has been talked abou to death) or the pitcher for not staying healthy?

Dusty baker has a reputation for forcing pitchers to pitch when not ready.

How things change. It used to be that you could tell spring training was starting by Doc Gooden getting arrested on drug and weapons charges on some Florida highway. Now you can set your watch by the Wood/Prior injury report.
