I'm a David Fincher fan, in 95, 97, and 99 he released three of my favorite films, Seven, The Game, and Fight Club.

I thought Panic Room was okay, but kind of generic. Now he's back, with what looks to be a wicked film, with 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. I've been following this for years, and hopefully it will turn out well. The trailer (at www.quicktime.com) is pretty decent, but it's possibly a lighter Fincher this time around, though without the air of darkness and danger that exhibits in his best work. We'll have to wait and see.

Give the trailer a look, post predictions. I predict a good film, but not up to the level of his finest.

I can't open those links due to being in work but is this the film that's based on the book The time travellers wife"?

That's one of the few problems I had with it too, but even without much action it didn't 'drag on' for me while watching it.

Fincher made his "comeback" with Zodiac, so see that before anything.

Ah you're right, totally forgot that one, but it was a good piece of work.

The historical aspect and pacing made it a bit different than his trifecta that I mentioned in the OP, but it was a great film in a different way. Robert Downey Jr. really delivered there too.

Hope B.B. will be at least up with Zodiac.
