Could be worse I suppose, the typical Dusty Baker move would be to say all those things in a defense to keep Jones on the team, and Baker would throw rasism into the equation to further insult the Cub fans. Funny, somehow I don't think expecting a player not to be picked off base numerous times in key situations is not unfair. Nor do I think not allowing a runner to score from second base on a sacrafice fly in a ninth inning giving up a ballgame is an unfair expectation. It's just too bad these kind of numbers don't factor into the player's stats...
