The crunching bug bit me again!

I've just crunched 500 WU's in SETI. All that's done is make me want to complete more WU's.

Most of them were completed with my PIII 800EB and a PIII 550E. I've now devoted my laptop PIII 750 and recently built a P4 1.6A (OC'ed of course) to crunch more units! (however, because of that system, it has set me back quite a bit :p)

Even my file server (Pentium 233) runs SETI CLI 24/7 and kicks in a work unit about every day and a half :)

I have spare parts and I want to put them to use. If anyone has a Pentium Pro (200Mhz, any amount of L2 cache) and a HS for it, I'll gladly put it to use for WU crunching. I'll cover shipping (of course) and a small payment for your cpu and time.

Now I'm going to scrounge around to get a spare Duron up and running.

Someday I'm going to have a big garden

A farm is a bit out of my reach for now. ;)

Whohoo! Welcome to the Church of Crunch. Meetings are every wed and alternating mondays.

No cure has been found yet, but don't worry, everyone is not trying hard to find one :p

Beware, I started on the road to crunchdom with but a little K62 300. I now have 11 computers, and 2 of them do nothing but crunch SETI. ( with 2 more on the way when I get some cash for some Registered ram ). Seti is an expensive habit, but more rewarding than crack. Anyone want to buy this VCR? Only $20! Comeon! only $20!!

I started out with a K6 233, then upgraded to a Duron 700, then purely cos it'll be better at Seti last summer i upgraded to an Athlon 1ghz :) then a couple of months ago i upgraded the KT7 to a K7S5A cos it will be quicker for Seti :)

And hopefully very soon i'll have the another Duron up and running (the 700 decided to die a death :() 24/7 for Seti and occasional DVDs.

Also bought a dual celeron board and 2 400s for crunchin :)

I concur! :D

Welcome back brinstar117 :D

I don't have a problem like you are talking about....I just put 3 new 1800+s up today, but I don't have an addiction. I am working harder so I can get some more machines up, but I don't have an addiction. I find myself looking through the FS/FT asking myself hmm how many WUs can I do with that, but I don't have an addiction. Every Friday I pickup the Fry's ad first to see what kind of MB/Proc combo they have on sale but I don't have an addiction. ;) ;) ;) ;)
