LCD you better watch your back, because the CRT has lost his! This could further divide the WARRRR! between LCD and CRT debate. And it could cause a few on the LCD camp to jump over to the other side of the fence.

EDIT: Due to a mistake on my part, add two votes for "I am a CRT User, so my vote does not count" under both "LCD Users only- Would you dump your current (or aging) LCD for one of these" and "LCD- USERS ONLY- Would you consider this an upgrade from an LCD screen" poll sections.

Currently the vote is two to one that consider it an upgrade from LCD.

I am probably going to buyone as soon as they are avalable in HDMI and 21 in or larger 16:9 or 8:5 widescreen. I suspect that I will need to wait for the second generation to get one that fits my liking.

All I care about is high resolution. If they come in high resolution, are bright, have high contrast, and aren't affected by response times, dont have refresh issues (has >85hz) then I will consider it especially if it commands a good price.

I wouldnt consider a display less than 20" and less than 1920x1200 resolution.

Since my long hours on monitors, the LCD is my main machine. I've CRTs but they have a purpose, but never for extended usage.

It looks promising. Assuming that Samsung's product carries forward and improves upon the best qualities of CRT technology, I would give this a long look.

My migraines went to zero after switching to LCD. Therefor I will not switch back to CRT.

Otherwise, it looks pretty nice.

It looks great, but it can't beat the weight of an LCD monitor. Makes LAN easy (even though i haven't attend in one :D)

it is 14 inches thick. that's over a foot. and wtf is anti-virus and deodorization function for a monitor? i like my LCD better. LCD's are brighter, weigh less, and consume less power. there is also no flicker on an LCD even at 60htz. therefore no matter what, i'll never go back to the "tube".

I don't see a major improvement in size with this new CRT technology. Also, it seems it doesn't improve on weight a whole lot either. I plan to purchase a Dell 2005 FPW for college this fall to save space from my 21" CRT.

Because as we all know, bigger is always better :). On the plus side, you can bench-press your crt instead of going to the gym and save even more money :).

Weight is a factor, but the biggest drawback of any CRT for me is heat. I'll stick with my LCDs - and upgrade to a bigger faster one one of these days.

I don't really see what the big deal about CRTs weight is...I've moved it a total of zero times since setup.

Both techs have some nice features.
