It was actually a pretty good show. It had too many smart jokes that went over the heads of the troglodytes than make up the Nielsen ratings, so it never got the acclaim it deserved.

Oh I get all the jokes I just find most of them far too corny.

If you think that the jokes are too corny you definitely don't get all of them. The good ones went whizzing by you unnoticed.

Here's an example episode. I agree there are a few funny jokes here and there but the average underlying tone as I said before is corny as hell. Yes I got all the silent movie references.

Watching it now. Funny as hell... you must be missing jokes...

also don't know if you saw it at the beginning, but this episode was written by Judd Apatow

I only ever watched one episode and I was high at the time. I LOLed real hard. Don't know which episode it was, but the guys Father or Father-in-Law was taking Viagra(or just really horny) and the Wife wouldn't comply, for some reason I don't recall. He just kept walking around with his teeth chattering, it was hilarious.

We need to update the rules to state that this is a bannable offense. For now, I guess I have to let you off with a warning.

NO question.
Not to mention it was WAY ahead of its time.

Nothing is worse than King of the Hill. Someone else said this but the only reason it was popular was because people were too lazy to change the channel between The Simpsons and Family Guy.

The Critic wasn't too bad though when they launched it on that film festival episode of The Simpsons. I guess they just fizzled out.
