I also do this...My favorite things to put are "I AM A ROBOT" in block letters, a grid that would look similar to #######, or I just draw a little picture of a sunny day with rabbits and what-not in a grassy field.

It was hilarious and worth a look though.
I've been considering doing that with some of my purchases.
Some places DO check my signature: Home Depot does. Oddly, I think that may be the only place they check.

I just use the self-serve lanes at HD now.

And I've been stongly tempted to mess with my signature on receipts lately.

Sort of funny at first, then more sad, as it becomes clear this is someone with
O.C.D. who just can't get it through their head that the signature is not vital to the transaction.

Not seen it. Nice though 🙂 sometimes on the self-check out ones I've written silly things on them, but I think it's naughty and you'd be smacked if caught doing it.
 
I was thinking that he could dispute these charges as not being made by him, then since his signature is not there, it would become vital to the transaction.
