I just got it and am currently playing with it here in the office. The screen is even better than my wildest expectations. The stock media on it really really shows it off... This thing is awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if the jack on the bottom turns out to be compatible with ipod accessories. I'll try that later.

The FM tuner is weaker than I expected, especially for a digial, autoscanning one.

I assume it can record from the FM tuner? If you're listening to the FM tuner, can you pause it for a few seconds and then pick up where you left off like with TiVo?

negative to both. Can't pause FM and the FM recording options were taken out in a recent firmware. Mine doesn't have it at all. I only get auto scan and some preset controlling settings in my FM menu.

I'm copying an episode of top gear from my home server to my workstation here in the office so I can try out the video with some media I'm more familiar with  :)

I'll never use the FM tuner anyway, but that would be a feature that some sports fans would like... some people like to watch sports on TV and listen on the radio at the same time, and if there is a delay that doesn't work.

What's the approximate filesize of a ~22 minute video at the full screen resolution? (in Divx or Xvid or whatever)?

Totally depends on compression. I'm copying over a 170mb divx that's an hour long currently. I've also seen hour long divx'es that were 700 megs.

I've never encoded anything myself, so I can't tell you anything more specifically.

anybody test to see if the ipod connector fits with it. I wouldnt imagine them being the same but someone mentioned it so i was wondering if anyone had looked into it more. I was also wordering if anyone has played it on your tv to see how that looks. I am prolly going to be doing that a lot so how well that works is prolly going to decided if i am going to buy it.

Question for those of you with one of these . . . have you tried importing any files from Windows Media Center Edition? They record as .DVR-MS files, but are basically just .MPGs.

Just curious because I'd like to be able to transfer video files from my HTPC to this to watch at the gym.
