QUAKE FINALS- THRESH WINS!
Reptile beat Thresh earlier today. In their second meeting in the finals,
Thresh won. After the match, Reptile complained about the level they played
(DM4), calling it the "cheeseball level." In the deciding final game,
Reptile started off with a 2-0 lead, but Thresh came back to win 5-2,
making Thresh the first ever PGL Quake champion!

The truth is most games just aren't spectator friendly. Unless you're a fan of the particular game and understand the nuances. It's not just computer games though. Paintball has this problem also.

Gotta love those comments, "if you would just bring back CS 1.6"

WTF-ever, people need to get over counter strike.

yeah, i love fps games but i could never get into CS for soem reason. Probably because of having to wait if you die.

The CPL has always been a poorly run joke, I remember when I went to CPL Summer 02 or somewhere around there, horrible event, pathetic and boring. The administrators all acted like children too.

The CPL dying is good news.

CS produced the highest turnouts for CPL and made the company tons of money. things went south when source came out. hate CS 1.6 all you want, but there is no arguing that it was most popular competitive game in the world.
