The "Cowboys need to sign Charles Woodson" Thread

Dammit, the Cowboys need a good starting corner. I will see Charles Woodson signed, or I will change the channel when the Cowboys "defense" takes the field! Fred Smoot would be an acceptable signing also.

That is all.

Actually the Cowboys are idiots if they don't draft Justin Miller. He will walk on the field and be their best cornerback hands down.

You can have C-Wood. You'll overpay for him and if he's not half hurt during a game and decides to play, he'll give up some nice big plays for you. Heck, I'd rather have Rod Woodson.

They need a QB before they need a CB... unless you think Henson will step it up.

That is true, but how many good qbs are going to be free agents? Maybe they could trade for Kitna?

Two:

Drew Brees and Matt Hassleback. Either would do more for the Cowboys than a star CB.

Venk has spoken, this time answering a question that you didn't even ask!

Drew Brees will be a FA. Sweet. I think he would be an excellent choice. I guess I am stuck on this cb thing because I love watching defense, and last year, it was terrible!

Vinny was doing fine this year until a) he had absolutely 0 running game until Julius Jones came back and b) 2 of his top 3 receivers got hurt. Vinny is good enough to win, they don't need to spend Free Agent money on a QB. I wouldn't consider Hasslebeck much of an upgrade anyway....he's just younger.

Raiders are not gonna re-sign either of these crybabies. CWood expects $12.5M for 2005 so he is gone for sure.

True, but when has Vinnie ever been able get to the Super Bowl, even with a good team surrounding him?

That's right... never! 😀

He's too old. The only reason Dallas picked him up was because he's one of Parcell's favorites.
