Anyone else here a fan? Not only are 3/4ths of them über-hot, they're also quite talented. "Live in Dublin" has been in my minidisc player for a couple of weeks now, and it still amazes me.

oh yeah, and before the mad requests PIC

The only song I've heard by them is Breathless (I think that's the name). What are some of their other songs so I can listen to them?

Good ones would be Radio (album version is good, unplugged version is awesome), So Young, Runaway, Forgiven not Forgotten, Somebody for Someone, The Joy of Life, Haste to the Wedding (both traditional folk songs), and the covers on the Live in Dublin album: When the Stars Go Blue, Ruby Tuesday and Little Wing.

geez, I thought I had a lot at 10GB... I bow before your fan-itude.

(However, I do have not 1, not 2, but 3 posters of them hanging in my living room)

I heard Robbie Williams was dating one of them.

They are one of the few euro pop bands that I enjoy listening to.

Never heard of them. I thought you were talking about Corrs the soda until Coors the beer sued them to change their name...

been a fan for quite some time. most my american friends have no clue who they are though.

i loved all their albums until they joined up with mutt lange. if you don't know who he is... well he's shanias husband, and the writer of bland repetitive carbon copy songs. i think the album was in blue that mutt wrote songs for. the rest are fine, they are geniunely different, not pop cr@p. they folded trying to gain american market by making their music generic. bad move.

i'm not against pop. its just when your song sucks worse then most britney songs ... thats when its just plain bad.

just look at shania. he previous albums weren't all bad, but her current one is hours of cr@p.

I'm a Corrs fan. Haven't been listing to them for long maybe a year or two. I did like the cover with Bono.

Mutt Lange co-wrote and produced 3 out of 15 songs on "In Blue," and although they're not their best work, they're better by far than any of the drivel put out by Spears and her ilk. If not in the quality of the songwriting (which is not really _that_ bad), then definitely in the performance aspect. The fact that they sing live as opposed to lip-syncing to tracks combined with the fact that they perform the songs themselves on actual instruments immediately puts them on a much higher plane than the common pop "artist". But hey, different strokes for different folks...

Some of their best work (that I've seen) has been on the Live in London DVD. It seems to get traded an awful lot on various newsgroups, and it's definitely worth a viewing if you have the opportunity. One notable exception is when they performed Haste to the Wedding with Mick Fleetwood. Two drummers in perfect synchronization is not a thing seen every day.

i'm sure mutt lange had more influence then just 3 songs. they hired him to reach the US market. when in blue first came out i thought the lead singer had become shania. but now that shanias new album has come out, it seems the corrs singer has the superior voice. sad.. well for shania. and oh yea, 100% of the songs on shanias cd are stupid mutt lang songs.

yes i'm bitter, i paid for it.

i'm happy with talk on corners and forgiven not forgotten albums though:)

I think they're OK but am much more fond of more trad / folk celtic like Clannad (especially their early stuff), Altan and Joemy Wilson (even though she's an American). But given a choice between Corrs and American bubblegum pop, I'd listen to the Corrs any day.
