It was movie night last night, so instead of bringing a typical movie, I brought The Corporation. I had a few problems with it, like the fact it probably could have been 1/2 hr shorter and still got it's point across... and the woman voiceover was pretty bad, but in general it's a powerful documentary. I was flabbergasted about that Florida whistleblower lawsuit they brought up... the end result of that segmant of the movie was that: It's not against the law to knowingly falsify news. Also, this movie has caused me to stay away from 'big' milk. We've got one dairy in CT at UCONN's campus that puts out milk that is sold at our local store, so I'll probably stick to that. It's pretty incredible. Apparently, companies in the US can patent living things as well... as long as it's not a fully grown human baby, it's up for grabs.
Many good points were made, I definitely recommend it although it may be tough to get ahold of. It cost me a whopping $25 at Best Buy who formarly was not carrying it. Michael Moore is in it, but he didnt direct, he's just an interviewee... so MM haters dont have much to fear about his spin.
